Mission: Water (Day 4)

The well is in and as you can see the plaque has been placed. This is an important moment for our team and the village. It shows our people how people sacrificing is transformed into real impact and they are so proud to represent our community.
It tells the village that there is a God who loves them and who wants good things for them and calls His people to live for Him.
Pray that the village would see God's face in the smiles of children blessed!

It turns out that "smiles", "fun", "laughter", "hard work", and "serving others" all translate. Our new friends in the village see this in our team and are treating them so well!
The work is progressing nicely, and a new piece of information has been brought up by the community le...

The team is on the ground!
Safe travels brought them to the team house last night and today they met the village! It is in the Sonsanate region in western El Salvador.
So far they have encountered 300 curious villagers and over 150 children!
The treacherousness of gaining access to clean water around the globe is very diverse...In some places it is a long road to walk (several times a day), in other places it is dangerous because of mean people or dangerous animals. In this village the people are separated from their current water source by a busy road. In the past year 15 children had been hit by cars and killed in their pursuit of life's most basic building block.
In a holistic approach to serving needs, ...
